1. People says John Legend is the Sexiest Man Alive

Move over, Idris Elba — a new Sexiest Man Alive has been crowned. People has awarded its annual honor to singer John Legend, giving wife Chrissy Teigen one more thing to roast him about on Twitter. The criteria for how People actually determines its Sexiest Man Alive remains maddeningly murky — the formula is surely very scientific — but whatever it was, we're sure John Legend gave his all to it.

2. It sounds like a Friends reunion is happening after all

Well, no one told you life was gonna be this way — and by "this way," we mean "reading weekly updates about whether or not a Friends reunion is happening for the rest of your life." This week, all signs point to yes, with the upcoming streaming service HBO Max — soon the exclusive streaming home for Friends — reportedly in talks with the Friends cast to film a reunion special. Amazingly, it sounds like all six Friends are up for it (but sadly, no word yet on the monkey).

3. Jennifer Lopez says she could play Batman

From Michael Keaton to George Clooney to Ben Affleck, a series of Hollywood's most talented actors have slipped into rubber pants and pointy ears to play Batman (even if the movies themselves haven't always been great). Who's next? In a conversation with Robert Pattinson, who will make his debut as Batman in an upcoming film by Matt Reeves, Jennifer Lopez let slip that she'd also like to play the Caped Crusader. "I could be Batman. Why not?" Lopez said — and come on, who wouldn't want to see Lopez play Brucie from the Block?

4. Mark Ruffalo wants to set Jennifer Aniston up on a date

Sure, Jennifer Aniston is a famous, talented, and bankable actress who is currently top-lining an Apple TV+ show — but when will she find a man?! The question that every obnoxious tabloid will never stop asking has now been posed to Aniston's friend Mark Ruffalo, who gamely suggested that he has a few friends he could set Aniston up on a date with. Ruffalo added that he's not actually sure if his friends are "good enough" for Aniston — but hey, it's not like that stopped Ross.

5. John Cena used to eat 10,000 calories of Tic Tacs before his wrestling matches

Here's a piece of entirely useless trivia you'll never forget: Wrestler-turned-actor John Cena used to be a Tic Tac fiend, downing so many boxes of the breath mints before his wrestling matches that he estimates he sometimes took in "as much as 10,000 calories of straight sugar." Asked to explain the habit, Cena said, "you always want to try to smell your best" — because nothing says "smell your best" like two sweaty dudes rolling around in a wrestling ring.
