US President Donald Trump is not afraid to speak his mind on Twitter. From furious tirades to interesting typos, the Commander-in-Chief is often chastised by the media - and fellow Republican politicians - for his uninhibited tweets.

His selective choice of retweets has often baffled followers, including one involving a crudely-photoshopped image of Trump "eclipsing" a photo of Barack Obama, presumably a reference to the solar eclipse in the US.

The original poster, whose Twitter username is "CNN IS FAKE NEWS", uploaded the photo last night. It shows a photo of the grinning - and full colour - Donald Trump sliding in front of an image of Obama, who is shown in black and white. The original caption reads "Best eclipse ever".

The Independent called the tweet "bizarre", while The AV Club said it "at once feeds into his obsession with his predecessor while placing his face in front of a black man’s".

Once Trump had reposted it, fellow Twitter users came armed with their pitchforks.
