EA has released the first teaser trailer for this year's Fifa instalment and while gameplay is kept under wraps, the film confirms that big changes are coming.
Fifa 17 will get a new game engine, moving from Ignite and to Frostbite. It's also used by EA's franchises Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront, Need for Speed and Mirrors Edge.
As GameSpot points out, the company has held long-term ambitions to move all of its key games over to Frostbite. It's not known how this will affect gameplay in Fifa, but EA is promising big improvements and changes in the fabric of the game, with "authentic, true-to-life action" and a "whole new world of possibilities".

EA has also announced a new line-up of game ambassadors. Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, plus Chelsea's Eden Hazard, Real Madrid's James Rodriguez and Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus all feature in the teaser. The company claims the players have been involved in the game's development, although the specifics remain unclear.
It's a tantalising glimpse into the next game and fans won't be waiting long for more. Fifa 17 will be revealed in full at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles, during EA's press event on 12 June.
The game will launch on 27 September in North America followed up by a worldwide launch two days later. Digital copies are available to pre-order now. It will launch across PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. However, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions won't use Frostbite, says Polygon.
