Video game publisher Square Enix has announced a new Lara Croft game is in the works and will launch on 14 September.
The upcoming title, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is the third and final instalment in the rebooted franchise, which launched in 2013.
Square Enix is remaining tight-lipped over what fans can expect in the new game, saying only that more details will be provided at a special launch event on 27 April.

However, the game’s launch trailer shows Lara racing through a jungle, climbing up maintain faces and wondering through caves that house ancient temples.
According to Metro, Shadow of the Tomb Raider gives “a lot of prominence” to an eclipse, which is being used as the game’s logo.
The Verge says the new game will follow the events of 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider and will see the heroine facing the same mysterious military group she fought in that instalment.
Although the first two parts of Lara’s origins trilogy were developed by Crystal Dynamics, Deus Ex creator Eidos Montreal is building the third game.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC when it launches in the autumn.
In the meantime, a “puzzle” launches on the game’s website on Monday, says IGN, giving fans the chance to meet the developers and play the adventure title at three special events taking place across the world.
