TheWeek.co.uk is looking for pitches from talented freelancers to extend the website's coverage of news, business, technology, entertainment and the arts.

Background

The Week magazine, first published in May 1995, makes sense of the week's news by distilling the best of the British and international media into 35 editorial pages. TheWeek.co.uk adapts that ethos for the web, digesting the most important stories of the day and setting them in their context.

Freelance opportunities

We're looking not only for words, but also video, audio, infographics, games, tools and data-led features. We therefore seek writers, graphic designers, developers and video producers who know how to create engaging digital content for a discerning UK and international audience.

We welcome pitches for stories in keeping with the overall approach of TheWeek.co.uk, which seeks out fresh perspectives on current events and adds depth and context to news coverage.

If you have an idea for a great way to tell a story that is in the news now or likely to be topical in the coming weeks and months, please email freelance@theweek.co.uk.

Please note: unfortunately we will not be able to respond to all emails. We will be in touch if we are interested in your pitch.
