One in 10 dunk sausage roll in their tea
And other stories from the stranger side of life
One in 10 people said they dunk sausage rolls in their cup of tea, according to a study that has caused much upset for the Daily Star. The tabloid denounced the practice as a “hideous habit” and said another 4% of “wrong ‘uns” dip their sandwich in their hot beverages, a practice the tabloid says is little short of “evil”. Last month, there was anger when scientists ruled that Jaffa Cakes, not digestives, are the most dunkable biscuits.
Man reviews meals in the shower
Meanwhile, a man who reviews the best foods to eat while in the shower wants Gordon Ramsay to devise him a waterproof meal, reported Metro. The 31-year-old, known as the Shower Review Guy, eats at least four dishes a week in the shower and shares his reviews on Twitter. While showering, he has eaten curry, a gyro, and crab legs. He admits he “felt like a caveman” when he ate a 32oz Tomahawk steak, “but that’s one of the benefits of eating in the shower, you can hose yourself down like a dog afterwards”.
Spanish app to bust lazy men
The Spanish government plans to launch an app that will lay bare the gender imbalance of housework by getting users to log the hours they spend on chores. “We women spend more time on domestic tasks than men,” said Ángela Rodríguez, second-in-command in Spain’s ministry of equality. Almost half of the women questioned in a survey by Spain’s National Statistics Institute said that they undertook most of the chores at home, compared with just 14.9% of men, noted The Times.
