Pete Doherty has thanked the “angels” of the NHS for the treatment he received after he pierced his hand on a hedgehog. Writing on Twitter about his “infected hedgehog spike wound” the Libertines singer said of the medics: “What absolute angels and a million times they deserve our respect and thanks.” The incident apparently happened while he was taking his Siberian huskies for a walk.
Man tallies can of Heinz Five Beanz
A man from Lancashire has become an online star after he counted the proportions of different beans in a can of Heinz Five Beanz. Conducting his pulsating investigation while his wife was out, John Stitch found that the most numerous variety in the tin was haricot beans, but that borlotti beans accounted for most of the weight.

A man from Georgia who rescued an injured hummingbird four years ago said the grateful bird makes yearly trips to visit his home. Mike Cardenaz saved the hummingbird four years ago when he found it injured on the front porch of his Grovetown home. Since he nursed it back to health, it has returned once a year.
