Australian man tries to fool drug detection dogs with sandwich spread

An Australian man has been charged with drug possession after he was caught at a music festival with several ecstasy tablets wrapped in cling-film around his penis, which he then covered with vegemite. The man told police he thought the strong smell of the spread would fool drug-sniffing dogs at the entrance.

Couple weds in Costco

A Sydney couple have held their wedding ceremony at a Costco supermarket because of their love of shopping there. Sue Berkeley and Eli Bob told local media the ceremony was attended by 90 of their family and friends, and around 200 other confused shoppers.

Smuggler caught with nearly 1kg of gold in rectum

A Sri Lankan man has been caught smuggling gold through Colombo airport after officials were tipped off by his “odd movements”. When he was searched, they discovered 905g of gold chains, worth nearly £22,000, in his rectum. The smuggler was fined £1,100 and released.
