Dog dies during flight in overhead locker

A family travelling with their dog aboard a United Airlines flight have been left distraught, after a flight attendant forced them to place the animal in a bag, and into the overhead locker. The family found the animal dead when the aircraft landed. United has taken “full responsibility” for the dog’s death.
Great White Shark finishes off diver’s lunch
A group of cage divers have caught on camera the moment a Great White shark breached the surface to eat a meat pie that had been thrown into the sea. The footage, which was shot off the coast of southern New Zealand, shows seagulls scatter to get out of the way of the shark as it lunges for the leftover lunch.

High school teacher fires gun in classroom
A Californian high school teacher has been placed on administrative leave, after accidentally firing a gun in a classroom. Dennis Alexander, who is also a reserve police officer, was checking to make sure the gun wasn’t loaded when the weapon discharged into the ceiling, injuring three students.
