Police in Alvarado, Mexico, have had their guns confiscated and replaced with slingshots and stones instead. The firearms ban was imposed after only 30 of the department’s 130 officers passed a weapons competency test.

Residents baffled by dumped cheese

Residents of Elwood in Victoria, Australia, have been mystified by dozens of blocks of cheese dumped at seemingly random locations, including on roads, in front gardens and in pot plants, over the past few weeks. Local authorities have appealed for help from the public.

Women filmed video with dying patient

Three Georgia women have been charged with exploiting an elderly and disabled person after they filmed a video of themselves with a dying patient in a care home. The video reportedly shows the women swearing and making obscene hand gestures.
