Drunk man loses penis after karaoke session

A Thai man has reportedly woken up in hospital after a drinking binge to discover that someone had cut off his penis. The man, named only as Suwit, says he went drinking at a karaoke bar with some work colleagues, and has no further recollection of the evening. “The penis was never found,” reports the Samui Times.

Man jailed for fake bomb threat at airport

An Ohio man has been sentenced to four months in prison after calling in a fake bomb threat to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Dana Carter, 40, admitted to police that he made several calls to the airport to cause enough of a delay to allow him to catch a flight he would otherwise have missed.

Woman impaled by flying beach umbrella

A 46-year-old woman is recovering in hospital after being impaled through the chest by an out-of-control beach umbrella in Ocean City, Maryland. It is the latest in a string of similar accidents in recent weeks: a British woman was speared through the leg by an umbrella at a New Jersey beach last week.
