The US Food and Drug Authority is set to revise food labelling guidelines in a bid to clarify which products can be marketed using the word milk. “You know, an almond doesn’t lactate”, said FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, so “almond milk” is not the correct term.

Man jailed for kissing daughter on the lips

A Turkish father has been sentenced to 15 years in prison because his daughter said he had kissed her on the lips after helping her with her homework. Despite calls from the prosecution for leniency, a judge said the kiss was “abusive”.

San Jose traffic stalled by naked cyclist

Police in San Jose, California, are seeking public assistance to identify a naked man caught on video riding a bicycle on a city freeway. California Highway Patrol spokesman Ross Lee told media that they had received a number of complaints, with reactions ranging from humorous through to outrage over “public indecency”.
