Divers swim with world’s largest great white shark

A team of divers has had a close encounter with a massive great white shark off the coast of Hawaii. The shark, known as Deep Blue, is reportedly more than six metres long, and weighs an estimated 2.5 tonnes. Researchers believe the female shark may be pregnant, and could be at least 50 years old.
Stabbed man proposes to attacker in court
A Russian man has reportedly proposed to his girlfriend, despite the fact that she was on trial at the time for allegedly stabbing him 13 times. The woman had pleaded guilty to the attack, but the victim begged the judge to be lenient. Court officials postponed a decision until a later hearing.

Man’s life saved by drinking 15 cans of beer
A Vietnamese man is recovering after doctors were forced to administer 15 cans of beer as treatment. 48-year-old Nguyen Van Nhat was brought into hospital with methanol alcohol poisoning, requiring doctors to give him ethanol alcohol to help his body to process the toxic form of alcohol that had rendered him unconscious.
