Quiz of The Week: 17 - 23 September
Have you been paying attention to The Week’s news?

This week, the country and the world said farewell to Queen Elizabeth II, the longest reigning monarch in British history.
Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets of London and Windsor to pay their final respects to the Queen on Monday, with the late monarch’s state funeral thought to be watched by some 28 million people across the UK, plus millions more across the world.
Invested with the pomp, circumstance and splendour befitting a monarch who has reigned over the country for 70 years, Queen Elizabeth’s meticulously planned and faultlessly executed funeral was the culmination of ten days of national mourning. It saw more than 2,000 people, including heads of state, foreign royals and other overseas dignitaries, fill Westminster Abbey for the service.

Now the eyes of the country are on her eldest son, with many wondering what kind of monarch King Charles III will be. There are already a few signals – Charles’s plans for a “slimmed-down” monarchy have long been public knowledge, and he is reportedly keen for his impending coronation to be far smaller and shorter than his mother’s 1953 crowning. And in keeping with his environmentalist credentials, he is reported to want his coronation to be a “low carbon” one, too.
