Hollywood's go-to action heroine has lined up her next big project. Scarlett Johansson has signed on to star in a blockbuster adaptation of the popular anime series Ghost in the Shell, which follows a police operative tasked with combating cyber-terrorism in mid-21st century Japan.

Though Ghost in the Shell hasn't formally been greenlit, Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders is in line to direct. The Hollywood Reporter adds that Johansson will net a healthy $10 million for the role.
