Official: Body of Miss Honduras 2014 found
A Honduras police official told The Associated Press that the bodies of Miss Honduras 2014 and her sister have been found.
Maria Jose Alvarado, 19, and her sister, Sofia, 23, disappeared six days ago. Their bodies were reportedly found buried near the spa where they went missing. The pair vanished after going to a birthday party for Plutarco Ruiz, Sofia's boyfriend, on Thursday.
Ruiz and Aris Maldonado, an accomplice, have been arrested in connection with the crime, Gen. Ramon Sabillon, Honduras' National Police director, told AP. Sabillon said authorities are waiting for official confirmation that the bodies are those of Alvarado and her sister.
