Two window washers who were dangling from the scaffolding at One World Trade Center on Wednesday have been rescued.
The workers were stuck 69 stories above street level, The Associated Press reports. New York City firefighters were called to the scene, and rescuers cut a window open to reach the washers and pull them to safety.
The pair was apparently trapped when a scaffolding cable broke on Wednesday afternoon.
