The "Lost Archives," a collection of 300 items of Monroe's ranging from letters and photographs to paintings and clothing items, will be auctioned next month at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills.

The collection includes love letters from Monroe's second husband, Joe DiMaggio, sent shortly before the pair's divorce. "I love you and want to be with you," DiMaggio wrote. "There is nothing I would like better than to restore your confidence in me." There are also letters from Monroe's third husband, Arthur Miller, as well as letters from Clark Gable, Cary Grant, and Jane Russell.

The auction will be held on Dec. 5 and 6, and the collection will be displayed to the public four days before the bidding starts. Darren Julien, the auction owner, told The Associated Press that he expects buyers to "fly in from all over the world."
