Robel Phillipos, a friend of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was found guilty on Tuesday of two counts of lying to federal investigators.

Prosecutors argued that Phillipos lied about where he was when two other friends of Tsarnaev's removed evidence — a backpack full of fireworks and a laptop — from his University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth dorm room three days after the bombing. The FBI claimed Phillipos lied repeatedly about his whereabouts before ultimately coming clean.
