Part of the job description it is not, but some firefighters from Corona, California, chipped in on yard work earlier this week, sweeping away grass clippings for a man who collapsed while mowing his lawn.
The firefighters were called to the scene to assist, and once they had stabilized the man and ensured he was in an ambulance bound for the hospital, they turned their attention to cleaning up the man's yard.
"We look after our community — it’s pretty tightly knit," Lynn Mata, a spokeswoman for the Corona Fire Department, said.
