Missing Afghan soldiers found trying to cross into Canada

Three Afghan soldiers who fled from a base on Cape Cod over the weekend were caught Monday trying to sneak into Canada.
The three members of the Afghanistan National Army were in Massachusetts along with some 200 other foreign soldiers for training exercises before they disappeared Saturday. After a three-day manhunt, they were found trying to cross the Rainbow Bridge, which connects New York to Canada near Niagara Falls, according to NBC.
"There's no reason to think they have nefarious intent, and no information to suggest that public safety is in question," Col. Timothy Alben, of the Massachusetts State Police, said, adding that the men's visas were due to expire in a few days.
