A federal judge on Thursday struck down Florida's ban on gay marriage, making the Sunshine State the latest in a string of states to see their same-sex marriage restrictions fall this year.
U.S. District Judge Robert Hinkle put his ruling on hold pending appeal, meaning same-sex couples in Florida cannot get hitched just yet. However, he still ordered Florida to recognize the marriages of same-sex couples who legally wed in other states.
