Please make sure your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position, your seatbelt is securely fastened, and any drugs you're carrying are flushed down the toilet.
Australian airliner Jetstar apologized on Wednesday for a crew member who warned passengers on a flight from the Gold Coast that drug-sniffing dogs were waiting at the Sydney Airport, and they should discard "anything you shouldn't have" prior to landing. Several of the passengers had been at the Splendour in the Grass music festival, NBC News reports, and many took the opportunity to race to the plane's bathrooms.
Jetstar says that the flight attendant was making a routine announcement about quarantine regulations, but took it to the extreme. "The crew member's words were poorly chosen and are plainly at odds with the professional standards we'd expect," the company said in a statement. Jetstar has discussed the matter with the flight attendant, who really does deserve a fruit basket from those passengers.
