2 foreign aid workers killed in Afghanistan

Afghan officials reported that two foreign aid workers were shot and killed on Thursday morning.

According to The New York Times, the two were female employees of an international aid organization, which the Kuwait News Agency identifies as the International Assistance Mission, a Christian group that has worked in Afghanistan since 1966. They were shot in the western city of Herat.
