The 2014 Emmy nominations are here

Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly announced the nominations for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on The Today Show Thursday morning. Of course, there was the usual griping about the TV shows that were snubbed, particularly CBS's The Good Wife.
While many of the nominations were expected — Mad Men, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad for Outstanding Drama — there were a significant number of newcomers to the award nominations, as well. Lizzy Caplan, for example, received her first Emmy nomination, for Outstanding Actress in a Drama for her role in Masters of Sex.
In the comedy categories, Parks and Recreation was snubbed yet again for its disappointing sixth season. Meanwhile, HBO newcomer Silicon Valley joined standards like Modern Family and Orange is the New Black in the nominees for Outstanding Comedy.
