Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter celebrates his 40th birthday Thursday, and he's already so over it.
"It's like turning any number," Jeter said. "I don't pay much attention to numbers. It feels no different to me."
The Yankees legend, best known for his acrobatic throws and rumored gift basket stash, plans to skip the carousing that typified his past birthdays — in 2001, he partied with Nelly and 2,000 others in Times Square — in favor of a quiet dinner. "It's really no different," he said. "I'm sorry."
