Republican senator: Same-sex marriage will soon be 'law of the land'

Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) admitted Wednesday that same-sex marriage will soon be legal across the United States, even if it's something that he vehemently opposes. In an interview with KSL NewsRadio yesterday, he said that "sooner or later" gay marriage will be approved on a large scale by the Supreme Court.
"Let's face it. Anybody that does not believe that gay marriage is going to be the law of the land just hasn't been observing what's going on," said Hatch. "The trend right now in the courts is to permit gay marriage and anybody who doesn't admit that just isn't living in the real world."
Same-sex marriage is currently legal in 19 states and the District of Columbia.
