Football is serious business in Allen, Texas, and so too, apparently, are the problems with the district's gigantic $60 million football stadium. A report commissioned by the district concluded that cracks in the building's concrete indicated the facility could not withstand the weight load it was supposed to hold, thus forcing the stadium to close for next year's season, according to The Dallas Morning News.
"The stadium is not safe for public assembly," said Superintendent Lance Hindt.
