Legendary Top 40 DJ Casey Kasem is missing

Radio icon Casey Kasem is missing, it was announced Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court. His wife's lawyer said that while he was not sure of the 82-year-old's exact whereabouts, he did know he had "been removed from the country."
During the hearing, Kasem's children complained about being kept away from their father by his wife of 30 years, Jean Kasem, NBC News reports. Kasem — who, along with hosting a popular Top 40 radio countdown show, voiced the Scooby Doo character Shaggy — has advanced Parkinson's disease, and is no longer able to speak. Upon hearing from Kasem's children that they had heard rumors he might actually be on an Indian reservation in Washington State, Judge Daniel S. Murphy ordered a court investigator to track Kasem down. He also named Kasem's daughter Kerri Kasem his temporary caretaker.
Kasem's three adult children from a previous marriage have been estranged from Jean Kasem for years, the New York Daily News reports, and this isn't the first time they have met in a courtroom. "We're going to find him, take care of him, and love him," Kerri Kasem told the Daily News. "He's going to be with family, not stuck in some unfamiliar place where he's dying alone."
