Indonesian officials say that they've recovered the flight data recorder from AirAsia Flight QZ8501, which disappeared Dec. 28, killing all 162 people onboard. Teams are still looking for the cockpit voice recorder.
The plane was flying from Surabaya, Indonesia, to Singapore, and is now 98 feet deep in the Java Sea, the BBC reports. Investigators are hopeful that the flight data recorder will be able to explain what happened to the aircraft.
Update 2:15 a.m.: The cockpit voice recorder was found a few hours after officials announced they had recovered the flight data recorder, The Associated Press reports. Divers are attempting to free the voice recorder, which is below heavy wreckage 105 feet underwater.
