Officials announced Wednesday that search crews have located the fuselage from the missing AirAsia Flight 8501.

Singapore's Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen announced the find on Facebook, saying the fuselage was found by a remotely operated vehicle in the Java Sea. Images from the vehicle show a portion of the plane's wing and the AirAsia slogan written on the fuselage.

"I hope that with the fuselage located, some form of closure can come to the families of the victims to ease their grief," Ng wrote in his Facebook post.
