Saved by the Bell's Dustin Diamond pleads not guilty in bar stabbing

Actor Dustin Diamond pleaded not guilty on Thursday to charges that he stabbed a man during a fight at a Wisconsin bar in December.
Diamond, best known for playing Screech on the Saturday morning show, appeared in court along with his fiancee, Amanda Schultz, ABC News reports. The 38-year-old is charged with second-degree reckless endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and carrying a concealed weapon, stemming from an altercation that took place at the Grand Ave. Saloon in December.
At the time, police told ABC News that Diamond "stabbed another male patron and left the bar." Diamond told police there was a "group of intoxicated people being rude and insulting," and his girlfriend ended up bleeding after an altercation with another woman. He intervened, and at that point "chaos broke out and people were grabbing at him." Diamond told police he was holding a knife or a pen, and did not intend to stab the man. If convicted of the recklessly endangering safety charge, Diamond could face up to 10 years in jail.
