At least two suicide bombers blew themselves up in two mosques in the Yemeni capital Sanaa during noon prayers Friday, according to Reuters and BBC reports.
At least 46 are reported dead, but sources say that number is expected to rise. At least 200 have been injured.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility. But the mosques targeted are reportedly used mainly by supporters of the Zaidi Shia-led Houthi rebel movement, which is control of the capital. The attacks come a day after escalating fighting at the presidential palace in Aden targeted forces loyal to President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. —Lauren Hansen
