Rescue crews have recovered one of the black boxes from the Germanwings plane that crashed Tuesday in southern France and will examine it immediately, according to France's interior minister. The airline said earlier Tuesday the plane made a sharp eight-minute descent just before the crash, though it was not clear whether it was a "deliberate or unintentional loss of height."

The plane went down with 150 people on board, including 16 schoolchildren. There were no survivors.
