At just 21 years old, Jordan Spieth has set the 36-hole scoring record at the Masters with a 14-under-par 130. After scoring a 64 in the tournament's first round Thursday, he finished Friday with a 6-under-par 66 and has shot 15 birdies and just one bogey throughout the first two days of the tournament. Spieth's 36-hole score beat the previous record, set by Raymond Floyd in 1976, by one stroke.
The mark is also tied for the lowest 36-hole total in the history of the majors, USA Today notes. Spieth currently leads the Masters leaderboard, ahead of second-place Charley Hoffman by five strokes. "I've been kind of on my game and feeling really good about coming to a place that I love," Spieth said. "It's special to be in the tournament, let alone out front."
Not bad for a guy who would currently be a senior at the University of Texas if he hadn't gone pro in the fall of 2012.
