On Monday, trackers from the Democratic opposition research group American Bridge 21st Century went to a Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) event in Londonderry, New Hampshire. Before the Republican presidential candidate took to the stage, an aide decided that it was up to him and his mouth to stop the group from filming. He first tried to block the camera with his head, but when that didn't work, he slowly licked the lens, grinned, and announced, "It's a closed event."

The aide has been identified by American Bridge as David Chesley, Paul’s political director in New Hampshire. A spokesman for Paul did not respond to questions from The New York Times about the video, but really, can you blame them? Watch the footage below, if you're into that sort of thing. —Catherine Garcia
