An eighth body was pulled from the wreckage of the Amtrak train involved in a fatal crash Tuesday night in Philadelphia, the city's Mayor Michael A. Nutter said Thursday, adding that all 238 passengers on board the train have now been accounted for.
Investigators have shifted their focus in the investigation of the train, which was traveling at 106 mph just before derailing, to 32-year-old Amtrak engineer Brandon Bostian, whose lawyer says he has "absolutely no recollection of the incident." The NTSB said Bostian triggered the train's emergency brakes seconds before the crash, which killed eight and injured hundreds, and investigators are still trying to determine why he was slow to react.
