You know who's really mad about the $10 bill change? Alexander Hamilton's great-great-great-great-great grandson.
A lot of people have expressed disappointment with the U.S. Treasury's recent decision to have a to-be-named woman share the spotlight with founding father Alexander Hamilton on the next edition of the $10 bill, out in 2020. But Doug Hamilton's beef is personal: The man honored is his — count it — great-great-great-great-great grandfather.
"We think he is somebody the younger generation should look up to," Hamilton told The Associated Press about why he doesn't want the bill changed.
Hamilton said he has nothing against a woman being honored on U.S. currency, and joined nonprofit Women on 20s' fight to replace controversial figure Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill. No word from AP yet, but it's probably safe to say Aaron Burr's descendants see the news a little more favorably.
