Obama hailed the Iran nuclear deal as "the strongest non-proliferation agreement ever negotiated" in a Wednesday speech at American University. Underscoring the success of a past interim nuclear deal and the fact that every nation in the world — with the exception of Israel — has voiced support for the current deal, Obama said that the choice of whether or not Congress accepts the deal essentially equates to the choice between "diplomacy or some sort of war."
"A nuclear-armed Iran is far more dangerous — to Israel, to America... than an Iran that ultimately benefits from sanctions relief," he said.
