Things got a little ugly this weekend between a White House staffer and her boyfriend, a U.S. Capitol Police officer, NBC Washington reports. Barvetta Singletary, who works as a special assistant to the president and house legislative affairs liaison, turned her boyfriend's gun on him after he refused to reveal the passwords to his two cell phones, according to police documents. Singletary and her boyfriend were allegedly fighting about the victim's relations with other women.
"You taught me how to use this. Don't think I won't use it," Singletary allegedly said before firing a round in her boyfriend's direction.
Singletary has been charged with domestic violence. A White House spokesperson said that she has been placed on unpaid leave, and that her access to the White House has been revoked.
