Former President Jimmy Carter announces cancer diagnosis
Former President Jimmy Carter announced Wednesday that he has cancer and will undergo treatment at an Atlanta hospital. The cancer, which the 90-year-old former president says has spread to other parts of his body, was discovered after he had a small mass removed from his liver earlier this month. Carter said he will make a more public statement next week once more details about his condition are known.
