Nearly half of Florida voters think Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush should drop out of the race

Florida voters seem to be losing faith in their home-state presidential candidates. A new survey by Public Policy Polling (PPP) reveals that almost 50 percent of voters in the Sunshine State think that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and current Florida Sen. Marco Rubio should give up their respective races for the presidency, The Hill reports. PPP found that 47 percent of voters say Bush should drop out of the race, with only 40 percent saying he should stay in it. In Rubio's case, 48 percent said he should call it quits while 42 percent said he should stick it out.
Floridians' pessimism likely stems from Bush and Rubio's recent dips in the polls, The Hill says. In the latest poll in Florida, Trump led the Republican contest by 28 percent among GOP primary voters, followed by Ben Carson at 17 percent. Bush only snagged 13 percent of the vote, and Rubio had 10 percent.
The survey, conducted between September 11 and September 13 among 814 Florida voters, has a margin of error of 5.1 points.
