Donald Trump has (literally) trademarked the phrase "Make America Great Again." Fellow billionaire Warren Buffett isn't buying it. "America's great now — it's never been greater," Buffett said Tuesday at a conference in Washington, D.C. "Our kids are going to live so much better than we do now." The Oracle of Omaha, it should be noted, is a pretty consistent (and successful) economic optimist, and he has said he believes Hillary Clinton is mostly likely to win the 2016 election.
And though Buffett's "oracle" reputation doesn't extend to politics, he has opinions. One of them is that the Republican presidential race is a mess. "You're witnessing a quiet revolution in terms of how America will be governed," he said Tuesday. "It's not a two-party-system now," with the GOP fractured into at least two factions, and the Republican nominee may not be selected until the Republican National Convention. Buffett didn't say whether the demise of the two-party duopoly is part of what makes America greater than ever.
