Jake Tapper stumps Bush on 9/11 versus Benghazi

On Sunday's State of the Union, CNN's Jake Tapper jumped into the brewing feud between Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Jeb Bush over George W. Bush and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Jeb Bush took his own jabs at Trump's foreign policy gravitas and judgment, but Tapper noted that Trump is right: The Twin Towers in New York were attacked and fell while George Bush was president. Jeb Bush responded that al Qaeda was responsible for that, and what matters is what his older brother did to keep the country safe after the attack.

Tapper agreed that al Qaeda was responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but then turned to the assault in Benghazi, Libya, exactly 11 years later: "How do you respond to critics who ask if your brother and his administration bear no responsibility at all, how do you then make the jump that President Obama and Secretary Clinton are responsible for what happened at Benghazi?” Bush responded, but he had a hard time answering the conundrum.
