FBI Director James Comey revealed Wednesday that Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, the married Muslim couple believed responsible for carrying out the San Bernardino shooting that killed 14 people, were "radicalized at least two years ago," The Associated Press reports.

Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Farook and Malik were radicalized even before they met each other online, got engaged, and moved in together. The two are believed to be "homegrown violent extremists," Comey says, who were inspired by terror organizations abroad. The investigation remains ongoing.
