Ohio Gov. John Kasich continued his surge in New Hampshire this week, snagging the endorsements of both The Boston Globe and The Concord Monitor in the state's Republican presidential primary. The Boston Globe's editorial deemed Kasich "the Republican hopeful most likely to be successful on the national stage," and The Concord Monitor said that Kasich has "the best record to support his case" as to why he "belongs in the White House."
The two New England newspapers' nods of approval come as Kasich makes gains in the New Hampshire polls. A recent poll found him in second place with 20 percent support — just 7 points behind frontrunner Donald Trump.
