Marco Rubio has no plans to drop out of the race — even if he loses Florida
Sen. Marco Rubio says that not even a loss in his home state of Florida is going to push him out of the Republican presidential race. In a radio interview Tuesday on WDBO, the Florida senator vowed to head to Utah to campaign Wednesday no matter the outcome of Tuesday's Florida Republican presidential primary. "Tomorrow our plan is to be in Utah campaigning irrespective of tonight," Rubio said. "It would be a lot better to go to Utah being the winner of the Florida primary. It would give us a tremendous amount of momentum. It would give us 99 delegates, and that's the way we want to do it tonight."
Polls show Donald Trump ahead of Rubio by as much as 20 points in Florida, though Rubio tells WDBO those polls are "way out of whack" and "absurd."
"I can't guarantee a win, we expect to win tonight," Rubio said.
