Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is constantly touting his loyalty — to his staffers, to primary states, to the country. But BuzzFeed News gathered anecdotes that tell a decidedly different story:
Far from a tight-knit family of blood brothers, The Donald's inner circle has been purged and repopulated many times over the years. Devoted workaholics burn out and flame out. Longtime alliances end with lawsuits and tabloid sniping. Sometimes reconciliation follows, sometimes grudges endure — and rarely does Trump refuse to bury the hatchet when it's good for the bottom line. [BuzzFeed News]
Trump apparently doesn't even spare his own family, berating his younger brother for his role in a failed casino project.
"I thought you could handle this," Trump said, according to a 1991 account from a former staffer. “I must've been out of my mind. I let you make recommendations. I'm sick and f--king tired of listening to you."
