Los Angeles County wildfire forces thousands from homes

A wildfire that broke out Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles County, resulting in the evacuation of at least 5,000 people, was 80 percent contained as of Sunday night.

Three firefighters were injured while battling the blaze, which was sparked when a pickup truck struck a power pole on Mulholland Highway, near Calabasas. Officials say one home was damaged and a commercial building was destroyed, the Los Angeles Times reports.
