Omar Mateen may have been scoping out other local LGBT businesses ahead of his deadly shooting early Sunday morning at the gay nightclub Pulse, which left 49 victims dead, The East Orlando Post reports. The owner of two Orlando LGBT businesses, Revere Nightclub and The M Hotel, revealed to authorities that Mateen sent him a friend request on Facebook "late last week." "With running The M and Revere, I constantly get requests from LGBT allies, performers, and potential guests who just want to have fun and spend time with family and friends," Micah Bass told The East Orlando Post.

Bass has alerted the FBI of Mateen's social media activity. He is also looking back on security footage from weeks past to see if the shooter may have visited his businesses ahead of Sunday's shooting at Pulse.
